Kinds of Business

“…there are two kinds of business: my business and none of my business.” ~ Casey , Karen. Let Go Now (p. vii). Mango Media. Kindle Edition.

If it’s about me, how can it be none of my business?
They may say, ““What other people think of you
really isn’t any of your business:
it’s best to not let other people’s opinions
prevent you from being the authentic version
of yourself.”
Is this true of you?
As far back as I can remember,
even as a small child,
I have desperately tried
to understand what God’s expectations
or requirements are
regarding my behavior.
But what about God’s opinion of me?
Dare I ask?

I come to the garden alone,
while the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
the Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice is so sweet
The birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing.

3. I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go–through the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.?*
