even a god-in-a-box like a toy…
all concepts made in our image.
In two and a half centuries
since Voltaire have we proved him wrong?
What do we hear when we speak the words,
God as we understand God?
It’s our understanding that’s necessary
but is our understanding limited
so that our own God is too small?
