if not all, people who come
to Overeaters Anonymous
have, as long as they can remember
perceived the universe as consisting of
perhaps some on a higher step of a ladder
than the new member, though very few,
and the majority further down.
But we soon learn we’re nether higher than lower.
but equal with all. And as time goes on,
we become fast friends, becoming often
our very closest confidants, our favorite pals.
