“Keep It Simple Stupid!”?
Well, it’s an old idea.
Leonardo da Vinci
is often credited
with saying that simplicity
is the ultimate sophistication.
Albert Einstein put it this way:
If you can’t explain it to a six year old,
you don’t understand it yourself.
Bill W. and Dr. Bob left off the “Stupid”
for excellent reasons.
Resent suggestions for alternatives:
“Keep It Simple Sweetie”
“Keep It Simple Spiritually”
and “Keep-It-Soft-&-Shallow”.
Then there’s “Prior to recovery,
‘Stupid’ was probably
one of the NICEST things
that I thought about myself!
Perhaps the message is best
communicated, “Oh Blessed Simplicity!”
