God is anything but
hellfire and damnation!!
God is not your conscience,
a resident policeman,
the small voice which
causing you to feel guilty,
too be unhappy before, during,
and after your rebellion.
God is not a tyrannical parent
reminiscent of Mommy Dearest
or the male equivalent.
God is not doddering, senile,
or geriatric.
God is not meek or indecisive.
God is our refuge and strength,
a very sufficient help in troubles.
but NOT a place to cower
and avoid the world.
God is not obsessed with punishing us.
God is all about love.
