That Concern

Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden. ~ Corrie Ten Boom

What, me worry?
Well, yes, I’ll worry about anything!
For years and years, reliving chagrin,
importing humiliation.
It once, for decades, seemed to me
God was too busy to be concerned
about my out-of-control eating,
my weight, my health.
Then I learned He cared all along,
wanted the responsibility,
welcomed my releasing it.
And gradually it has become clear
that’s true of any worries, all worries.
They’re not my concern
unless I decide to deprive God
that part of my life.
What? Mr worry?
