Let go and let God?
Great idea.
But there’s an issue.
I’m quite sure my hands
came permanently endowed
with superglue, special, though,
so it never hardens over,
never loses its grab power.
Easy to say, let go and let God.
But darned near impossible to do.
I’m powerless over letting go,
my life as far as releasing
is unmanageable.
Let go. Let God.
Let God pry it from my hands
when I pray not my will, Thine.
