I know what you need to do,
your weaknesses,
your ignored obligations,
your idiosyncrasies.
I can direct your life,
set your agenda,
guide your thoughts and actions.
But that’s none of my business.
All I have the right to control
is what I need do,
my life, my thoughts,
my actions. I need only see
my side of the street
but for so long I’ve studied yours
I can no longer see my own.
