Stasis. Standing still,
resting on the promises…
or my laurels?
Benches along the path
just call for resting,
for catching breath,
for letting understanding
catch up. Yet the bench
holds no hope of permanence,
grows hard and tiring soon.
Time to move on, follow the course,
find that pot of gold at rainbow’s end,
treasure the gold dust along the way.
