Vague Senses

I vaguely sensed I was not being any too smart, but felt reassured as I was taking the whiskey on a full stomach. (Alcoholics Anonymous, page 36)

Unfocused, imprecise thoughts,
a mind meandering, exploring
rabbit trails, drifting, blown
willy-nilly all over the place.
So, is vague always bad?
Nope. Not always. Heck,
this poem is vague, unfocused.
But it’s a recovery poem,
that’s what it claims, “A tad
of poetry every day,
recovery on the go.”
Is unfocused recovery okay?
Nope.
