God Hears When We Talk with Friends

By admitting to our friends that we don’t know what we should do about the many confusing, sometimes scary circumstances in our lives, we open the door for our Higher Power to reach us. ~ Casey, Karen. A Life of My Own: Meditations on Hope and Acceptance (Hazelden Meditations) (p. 18). Hazelden Publishing. Kindle Edition.

Talking things over with God
can feel silly, like yelling down a well
to hear the reverberations.
It seems nobody’s really listening,
but God doesn’t mind
if we have a person or a trusted pet
who’s there to pay attention,
so they and especially we
can listen as we speak.
Sometimes they answer,
or we may hear ourselves
and know the answer.
And when the pieces come together
no matter the source
we find God has provided the answer
and given us peace of mind.
