Perseverance:  steadfastness in doing something
despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
And “Perseverance brings us the reward
of continuing permanent recovery.”
How many times have I read this statement?
How often has it captured my rapt attention?
At least twice a year for more than a decade?
And can I assure you I’ve persevered?
No, I cannot. I have seen perseverance work,
have claimed it for a while,
want to again own the truth,
that Perseverance brings us
the reward of continuing
permanent recovery.
