A Decision to Hope

Having hope, we come to understand, is a decision. Other men and women have made this decision. We can too. ~ Casey, Karen.  (Hazelden Meditations Book 1) . Hazelden Publishing. Kindle Edition.

Would you consider having hope
to be a decision? It never occurred to me!
I read of North Korean prisoners of war
stripped of hope by having bad news
from home passed on to them
while good news or fond letters
were deliberately withheld.
I choose to emphasize the positive,
to remember kindness and love,
to decide to have hope.Join me, will you?
