What Insight! What Understanding!
How true the Parallels are!
When you walk into the Rooms of Recovery
it can feel so unreal, so impossible to get
what all those other people seem to have!
It feels as though you’re giving up everything
but that so not true!
A recovery friend of mine sent it to me
and I knew I had to share it with you!
Addiction is giving up EVERYTHING —
for one thing.
Recovery is giving up one thing 
for EVERYTHING!!
“God, I offer myself to Thee –
to build with me and to do with me
as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self,
that I may better do Thy will.
Take away my difficulties,
that victory over them may bear witness
to those I would help of Thy Power,
Thy Love, and Thy Way of life.
May I do Thy will always!”*
