In order to recover, I had to let go of my thinking and embrace believing. ~ Overeaters Anonymous, Voices of Recovery, August 31
How do you let go of your thinking?
When you’re not in charge
and you rely on the reasoning, the guidance
of the one(s) who are, be it a parent, a boss,
the boss’s boss, the government,
the chain on command.
So long as you’re in the chain of command
but have no individual control,
you are letting go of your thinking.
“God, I offer myself to Thee –
To build with me and to do with me
as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self,
that I may better do Thy will.
Take away my difficulties,
that victory over them
may bear witness to those I would help
of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life.”*
Let go of your thinking,
and embrace believing!
