A Matter of Outlook

Deciding that every experience can be interpreted as good is no more difficult than believing the cards are stacked against us. It’s a matter of outlook, and no one controls it for us. We are in charge of our outlook. ~ Casey, Karen. A Life of My Own: Meditations on Hope and Acceptance (Hazelden Meditations Book 1) . Hazelden Publishing. Kindle Edition.

Where does the blame fit?
We’re more comfortable
attributing it to the other person,
to karma, luck, “the cards,”
We may even let out guilty conscience
point to us as deserving blame.
But blame is not necessary.
If we bring to the situation
an attitude of love, brotherhood,
unity, doing the best we can
and trusting others to the same,
our outlook is contagious
and we can change any exchange
into a creative, effective exchange
and all experience the reality
of peace on earth, good will to all.
