Take captive every thought
to make it obedient to Christ,
to God as you understand God…
How do you take captive your thoughts?
WHY do you take captive your thoughts?
Because you’re in charge, not your thoughts.
If the thoughts are in charge you’re carried away,
enmeshed in doubt and fear, frozen,
unable to function. But if you capture the thoughts,
make them obedient to your Higher Power,
if you surrender them along with the fear and doubt,
all of  you, emotions included, are in the loving hands
of the God of your understanding.
