In the past I might have laughed
or if I liked the object of your ridicule
more than I cared for you,
I might have given you a taste
of the trash you were spewing.
But I’m happy to say I’m not that me now,
so I will love you, spread good vibes,
and, loving you, have more love
to keep and to give, so I’ll watch you become
