But the nothing times, the boring times,
those minutes in the interstices of life!
The middle-of-the-road times…
Can’t those be the growth times?
So many more of those times…
can’t I grow then? No, she’s right.
It’s the highs and lows that make us
different people. At least they come
in equal numbers. There are delicacies
