What is the most important thing or being in your life?
For most of us in Recovery it was once the substance
or the behavior that got us here. It was that
to which we turned to face the world. That
was our Higher Power, our de facto god.
Is your god a person, you, your spouse.
your child? Is it your reputation? Your job?
Even your church? What would you cling to,
cherish, crave most? If it’s not your Higher Power…
then it’s your higher power.
Either God is everything
or else He is nothing.
God either is or He isn’t.
