Giving up the safety of the old
means giving up living in self-hatred
with holier than thou mixed in liberally,
means never turning to food
to ease soul sickness.
I need to save my life.
Doing better does not equate
to tolerable
and certainly not to hiding from the world,
I have to act on my fears,
forgiving the other
because I know the pain
from which the words come
is no solution.
But the  Big Book says,
THERE IS A SOLUTION.
