The short list of what is good
Do Justice, love kindness,
Skip the pride and walk with God.
A rich young man had another
short list and ptoclaimed,
“All these I have kept, ‘What do I still lack?’

 

‘
H’umility. Pide in possessions.
“If you want to be perfect, go,
sell your possessions and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven.
Then come, follow Me.”
What can you do? What do you have?
If the basics vanished and you could do nothing,
would humility remain? Then give what’s left
to your god.
