Temptation is not an irresistible force.
Temptation is enticement, allurement.
Temptation is seduction, a temptress,
a siren, a vamp. Temptation is merely…
temptation. And following it is giving in
to unmanageable. Acting on temptation
is sliding back into powerlessness.

So don’t. The temptation is an emotion
and not an action. Don’t add the action
but add the Steps, the tools, the slogans,
surrendering…add Recovery. Call a sponsor
and resist taking action on that stupid emotion.
