Meditate Anywhere

God, I’ll get with you
as soon as the noise dies down,
as soon as I can be alone
so I can kneel, bow my head,
so I can pray. But you can’t
want my prayers now,
not when I don’t have time
to talk to you, to listen to you,
to pray. I don’t want to offend,
don’t want to sully the moment,
to denigrate you. So I’ll pray.
If not today, then tomorrow
for sure…
