“Try It; You’ll Like It.”

Often I tally the number of obsessive food thoughts I overcome during the day with my Higher Power’s help. It’s amazing how many times I’ve received the miracle of recovery in just one day! Try it; you’ll like it. ~ Voices of Recovery

Try it, you’ll like it.
How many times
will you hear that
this week?
Conspiracies
to sabotage your food
abound, evolve,
as gluttony reigns
and careful eating
is for later…New Years,
a resolution. Why start now?
You know what it will be like
the rest of the year.
But there are other courses.
You can ignore the triggers,
eat with pride your chosen plan
and at the end of the day
as other groan in pain,
you can remember what you’ve done
and tell them, “Try it,
you’re really like this!”
