The sixth step, miniscule
in direct coverage, verbiage,
in the Big Book. One little paragraph,
restating willingness is indispensable,
a couple of questions, a what-if answer,
and it’s done. But the minutest may be mighty,
the miniscule massive. Humility reigns,
with knowledge we cannot,
and after full disclosure and self-awareness,
ready can really happen.
Entirely. And for the first time perhaps
we’re willing for it to come from outside,
that God needs to do it, that our Power
can remove our pesky,
irritating,
irascible,
once indispensable…
