The apple was there,
the desire was there,
Eve was there
and she took it,
grabbed it, owned it,
controlled.

Bounty was there,
grace was there,
God was there
and he offered it,
willed Eve to accept it,
grateful for the gift.
Her failure was not
in having the fruit
but in avarice.
