How important is a Twelfth Step?
Sure, we know what it says,
that it helps us at least as much,
but that feels fake – at least until we hear
our words that we needed to hear.
But vital? Necessary for life itself?
Indispensable? Yes. I draw comfort
from the tools, the fellowship,
serenity and peace from the spiritual,
but the life of the fellowship, the crux,
the soul is that culminating step,
the spreading of the message.
