Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do Your bidding. ~ 7th Step Prayer

Do you want employees to do their job
or their employer’s bidding?
A master bids, a sovereign, a ruler.
Bidding fits with homage, with tribute,
with adulation – worship.
So negative, so impotent, so feeble…
To whom do you owe that kind of devotion?
To whom do you yield your strength,
your will, your mind, your soul?
Is there a Creator out there
to whom you can plead,
Grant me strength, as I go out from here,
to do Your bidding?
