Grandmom made cookies,
cakes, rich gooey treats.
Her house smelled
of “Grandmom bread.”
When she knew we would be there
the kitchen filled with her edible love
I’m Grandmom now, like her so much.
God help me not to teach
that Grandmom’s love comes from the oven…
